Allambie Heights Retirement Village Directors

Our Board of Directors are volunteers who give of their time, experience and skills to sustain and promote the organisation and to support the operation of services provided to residents by management and staff.

They are elected at the Annual General Meeting of the organisation to serve for a period of two years and meet throughout the year usually on a monthly basis. They provide governance to the organisation by sustaining its mission and purpose; by developing guiding principles; by ensuring that the necessary resources are in place or planned for; by contributing to and developing a strategy for the future of the organisation. They are accountable to the organisation’s members.

The Chief Executive Officer who is responsible for the overall operation of the organisation reports to the Board.

Bachelor of Arts, University of New England.

Director and Member of the Board since 2005. Current Chairperson of the Investment sub-committee. Founder and Managing Director of Landmark Travel in Manly since 1978.

WOLFGANG MUELLER

Bachelor of Communications, University of Cologne. Director and Member of the Board since 2005 and current Member of the Investment sub-committee. Founder and owner of Media Advantage Production Company. Former Senior Journalist with SBS TV News. Current Producer with SBS. Member of the Foreign Correspondents’ Association of Australia and the South Pacific..

Secretary and Director

CAMERON HARRIS

Bachelor of Economics, University of Sydney. Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance, Securities Institute of Australia.

Director and Member of the Board since 2015.

Cameron has worked in Financial Services for over 22 years in Australia and the UK – the majority of this time was spent at Macquarie Bank covering banking, asset management, equities, equity derivatives and sales leadership roles. He is currently working at Winston Capital Partners where they assist Investment Management firms raise capital.

CHRIS BENNECKE

Diplom-Kaufmann (equal to MBA), University of Goettingen, Graduate Australian Institute of Company Directors, Certified Internal Auditor.

Director and member of the Board since 2018.

Non-executive Director on the Boards of Suhner Australia Pty Ltd and Equestrian Australia Ltd, Chair of the Rotary District 9675 Governance Committee, member of the Board Nomination Committee of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and Past Chair of the NSW Chapter Council of the IIA. Several years in corporate finance, 25 years in governance, internal audit and risk management across various industries and jurisdictions. Currently working as interim manager and risk and governance consultant.
