Residents receive a Resident Agreement upon admission to permanent care.
20 March 2025 – Residential Aged Care Facility Fee Structure
Basic daily care fee of $63.82 per day as of 20 March 2025.
This fee changes in line with the increases in the age pension in March and September each year and is determined by the Department of Human Services.
All residents need to complete the Combined Assets and Income Assessment Form provided by the Department of Human Services, Centrelink Department to receive government funding for care and accommodation costs. Processed by Centrelink or Department Veteran Affairs.
Combined Assets and Income Interim Fee $75.00 per day will be charged from Date of Entry until the assessment notice is received. The fee will then be adjusted to the correct amount and backdated to the Date of Entry
‘Means not disclosed’ Resident. Maximum fee of $406.79 (as at 20 March 2025)
If the Combined Assets and Income Assessment Form is not submitted, the maximum fee invoiced is $406.79 which may change due to index charges during the year. This payment will be charged from date of entry and paid to the Residential Aged Care Facility.
Cap on Means Tested Care Fees. Annual threshold of $34,311.23
Lifetime Cap on Means Tested Care Fee. Lifetime cap $82,347.23
Residents who have entered prior to 1 July 2014, an Income Tested Amount to be assessed by Department of Human Services or the Department of Veteran Affairs.
Maximum daily fee $101.37 per day as of 20 March 2025
Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) $900,000.00
Interest rate of 8.17% per annum (1/04/2025 to 30/06/2025) for Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP).
This refers to any unpaid portion of the RAD from date of entry to termination of the resident agreement.
